My work is inspired by a sense of place and our relationship with nature. The observed shapes, patterns and textures of natural forms have been the cornerstone of my paintings and drawings. Through the process of drawing and photography I focus on the details of nature. I am interested in giving importance to something which may otherwise go unnoticed. By observing the very small I hope to give a sense of the greater landscape. These distilled images become the foundation for my paintings and works on paper which I make back in the studio.
I studied BA(Hons) Painting and MA Drawing in Fine Art Practice at Wimbledon School of Art. My work has been exhibited widely in solo and selected group exhibitions over the years.
